Hardware Development

  • Development of complex SBC and controllers, also with operating unit and I/O modules, “State of the Art”
  • Many years of experience with powerful microcontrollers and processors (PowerPC™, ARM®, etc.)
  • Development also according to IEC 61508 (functional safety) and BVS (mining approval)
  • Proven standard interfaces available, e.g. for EtherCAT®, CompactPCI®, PCI®, PCI EXPRESS®, AMC, VME, CAN
  • VHDL development for FPGAs from Xilinx® and Intel® (formerly Altera®), Efinix®, Lattice®
  • PCB design with up to 12 layers and 120µm structures, also with flex boards and micro vias
  • Test and simulation systems for test benches and printed circuit boards

Software Development

  • Board Support Packages and I/O drivers, e.g. for Linux®, VxWorks®, QNX®, OS-9®
  • EtherCAT support with Master and Slave Stack as well as our Workbench
  • Integration of Industrial Ethernet such as PROFINET® IO, Ethernet/IP and Modbus-TCP
  • CAN driver with same API for almost all hardware platforms, stacks e.g. for CANopen®, J1939
  • Complex control software for special purpose machines according to specifications

Prototyping

  • Samples in many cases already 3 – 4 months after the start of the design
  • Test systems for validation and functional tests
  • Support for certifications and type tests (environment, climate, etc.)
  • Bootloader and board support packages for Linux and RealTime-OS
  • Commissioning and training at customer site

Serial Production

  • Serial production in quantities from 10 to 10,000 units/year with OEM partners
  • 100% functionality testing of all products, development of end-of-line tests in-house
  • Archiving of test protocols for at least 10 years
  • Continuous optimization of series costs
  • Stocking of EOL components to ensure availability

Lifecycle Management and Redesign

  • Monitoring of the product status within the framework of lifecycle management
  • Continuous monitoring of component availability to ensure long-term supply capability
  • Re-designs for cost optimization and in case of component discontinuations
